Is an ArmaLite M-15 a good rifle?
All in all, the M-15 exhibited outstanding accuracy for a rifle of its type. If accuracy is a priority for you, its fully rifled heavy barrel (. 75” diameter at the gas block) is well worth its extra weight.
How many bullets does a M15 have?
Unlike the M16, which is fully automatic, the AR-15 is “semi-automatic,” meaning a person has to pull the trigger for every shot. Most AR-15-type rifles are sold with a 30-round magazine, but it is possible to purchase after-market magazines with as many as 100 rounds.
Why is it called ArmaLite 15?
“AR” comes from the name of the gun’s original manufacturer, ArmaLite, Inc. The letters stand for ArmaLite Rifle — and not for “assault rifle” or “automatic rifle.” ArmaLite first developed the AR-15 in the late 1950s as a military rifle, but had limited success in selling it.
